Sunday 8th June ~ Starts at 12 Noon for 6 hours
Entry Programmes are on sale for the 2025 SECRET GARDENS OF TOPSHAM. Each guest aged 12 and over requires their own programme for entry (under 12’s are free). Assistance and guide dogs are welcome in all gardens.
Online programme sales have now finished. However, until 7 June, programmes can still be purchased in person for the advance price of £8 from Topsham Bookshop or Wilkinson Grant, our generous sponsor. On the day, they will be available for £10 from Topsham Quay and Topsham Rugby Ground.
There will be no fewer than 15 hidden gardens, normally completely private, thrown open for the public to explore from Noon until 6pm.
Visitors can enjoy a special opportunity in the waterside garden at one of Topsham’s finest houses, 19 Strand -a pop-up Museum shop and a specialist plant stall, including some propagated from the Secret Gardens themselves. And don’t forget there will be tea and delicious home made cakes at two additional stops along the garden route, and also a pre-loved books stall at Ferry Road.
All proceeds from the event go towards running Topsham Museum, which relies entirely on donations and proceeds from its shop and refreshments to cover running costs. The Museum also hosts small displays in a restored red telephone box in the heart of the town.
Public transport: 57 bus from Exeter or Exmouth, alight at Nelson pub and walk down Fore Street. Train (Avocet Line) from Exmouth or Exeter, walk down Holman Way to the Quay.
Parking available on the day at Topsham Rugby Club (a donation applies) and in the town’s public car parks.
